Effective October 1, 2026, Y1 will integrate its Content & Commerce Unit into two companies within the DigitalNativeAlliance: NETFORMIC GmbH will be responsible for the e-commerce business, while VERDURE GmbH will handle the content, CMS, and experience business.. About 30 employees are transferring to their respective companies.
- As of October 1, 2026, the Content & Commerce Unit of Y1 Digital AG will become part of the DigitalNativeAlliance: The Commerce unit will become part of NETFORMIC GmbH, while the Content Unit, with its CMS and user experience expertise, will become part of VERDURE GmbH. The clients and approximately 30 employees will thus join one of the largest owner-managed agency groups. For existing customers, the partnership will continue seamlessly while being expanded to include additional expertise within the DigitalNativeAlliance.
- Y1 focuses on product information throughout the entire customer journey. It offers PIM/PXM as a service and PXM Intelligence, a new, AI-powered product portfolio.
- Going forward, the two companies will be linked by a strategic partnership: from strategy to user experience, from PIM to e-commerce, and in AI-based front ends.
Data excellence meets expertise in branding, content, and user experience
With the integration of Y1’s Content & Commerce Unit, DigitalNativeAlliance is specifically strengthening two of its specialized agencies: The e-commerce business will become part of NETFORMIC effective October 1, 2026, while the content, CMS, and experience capabilities will be integrated into VERDURE.
This creates an even more powerful commerce team at NETFORMIC, one that combines technological excellence, in-depth platform and integration expertise, and data-driven solutions with Y1’s long-standing expertise in B2C brand management, high-end UX, and emotional customer journeys. Customers thus benefit from a broad range of expertise in the design, implementation, and further development of complex e-commerce solutions, all provided by a single agency group.
At the same time, VERDURE is strengthening its position as an enterprise CMS and digital experience agency. Its existing expertise in websites, content management systems, and digital platforms for the industrial, mechanical engineering, and high-tech sectors is being expanded with additional CMS, content, and experience capabilities. This creates an even broader service portfolio within the DigitalNativeAlliance that combines technological depth, scalable enterprise CMS solutions, strong digital brand presences, and compelling user experiences.
For existing customers, the transition has been deliberately kept simple: The contracting party changes, but the partnership continues seamlessly. At the same time, customers will have access to additional specialists and services within the DigitalNativeAlliance as needed.
Focus and a seamless end-to-end pipeline
For Y1 Digital AG, the transaction represents a deliberate refinement of its business model. Going forward, the company will focus 100 percent on its core expertise in the area of Product Information and Product Experience Management (PIM/PXM). A new addition to its portfolio is PXM Intelligence, an AI-powered solution for product data.
This strategic partnership will create a seamless end-to-end pipeline within the shared ecosystem: Y1 focuses on product experience management and uses structured product data to lay the foundation for consistent digital experiences. VERDURE is responsible for the enterprise CMS, content, and experience business and contributes its expertise in websites, CMS, digital platforms, brand presence, and content experiences—particularly for the industrial, mechanical engineering, and high-tech sectors. NETFORMIC is responsible for the design, implementation, and scaling of transactional e-commerce platforms.
This creates a seamless service chain for customers, in which specialized teams collaborate as needed—from product data and CMS to user experience, and on to the commerce platform and its ongoing development.
The contracts have been signed, and we’ll be getting started under the new structure on October 1.
